RetireConfident ("we," "us") publishes educational guides and tools at retireconfident.co. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect your email only if you give it to us, we use standard analytics and advertising cookies to understand how people find and use the site, and we never sell your information.

Information you give us

If you sign up for the free cheat-sheet or our emails, we collect your email address. It is stored with our email service provider (MailerLite) and used to send you the material you requested and occasional educational emails about Social Security, Medicare, and long-term-care topics. Every email includes an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing takes effect immediately.

If you purchase a guide, the transaction is processed by Gumroad, which handles your payment details under its own privacy policy. We do not see or store your card information.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies:

Meta (Facebook) Pixel. We use the Meta Pixel to understand how visitors from our Facebook posts and ads use the site (for example, whether they download the cheat-sheet), to measure advertising, and to show relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram. Meta may associate this activity with your Meta account under its own privacy policy. You can adjust how Meta uses this data in your Facebook settings under Ad preferences, and opt out of interest-based advertising generally at aboutads.info.

Email service scripts. Our signup forms are provided by MailerLite, which sets cookies needed to make the forms work and to measure signups.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site works fine without them.

How we use information

To deliver what you asked for (the cheat-sheet, purchased guides, annual-update notices), to understand which pages and topics help people most, and to measure and improve our advertising. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, and we do not share it except with the service providers named above (MailerLite, Gumroad, Meta, and our website host, Cloudflare), each acting under its own privacy terms.

Data retention and your rights

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these, email hello@retireconfident.co and we will respond promptly.

Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date above.
