Frequently asked questions

Buying & delivery

What do I actually receive?

An instant download: a comprehensive PDF guide plus a matching Excel calculator for each title. The Navigator Pass includes all three guides and all three tools.

How is it delivered?

Checkout and delivery run through Gumroad. The moment your payment goes through, your files are ready to download, and you'll also have lifetime access from your Gumroad account.

Do I need special software?

Just a PDF reader for the guide, and Microsoft Excel — or free Google Sheets or LibreOffice — for the calculator.

Is checkout secure?

Yes. Payment is processed by Gumroad, which also handles your receipt, sales tax where applicable, and your download links.

What if it's not for me?

If a guide doesn't help you, reply to your receipt within the refund window and we'll make it right.

Content & updates

Are the numbers current?

Yes — every guide and tool is updated for the 2026 program year. The Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid figures change every year (new numbers are released each fall), and your purchase includes those updates free.

How will I get the yearly updates?

Through the same Gumroad account you bought with — updated files are posted there, and buyers are notified.

Will the long-term-care guide work in my state?

It teaches the federal framework that applies everywhere and shows you exactly how to find your own state's specific figures. The planner includes a worksheet to record them. Medicaid rules vary by state, so for your situation you'll work with a certified elder-law attorney — the guide prepares you to do that effectively.

Is this advice?

Is this financial, legal, tax, or insurance advice?

No. These are plain-English educational guides. They make you the most informed person in the room and point you to the right licensed professional for your specific situation — the Social Security Administration or a fee-only advisor for benefits, a SHIP counselor and Medicare.gov for Medicare, and a certified elder-law attorney for Medicaid and long-term care.

Do you offer consultations or coaching calls?

No. We deliberately keep this to education only — no calls, no individualized advice, no upsells. That keeps the price honest and keeps us clearly on the right side of legal and licensing lines.

Pricing

Can I buy just one guide?

Yes — each guide is sold separately ($149 for Social Security and Medicare, $199 for Long-Term Care). The Navigator Pass bundles all three for $299, a $198 saving.

Is the Navigator Pass really cheaper?

Yes — $299 for all three versus $497 bought separately. If you expect to need more than one, the Pass pays for itself immediately.
